Vintage.Lingerie=OnlyHearts
It's something about it. I can honestly say i take better care of my vintage pieces than I do my new pieces. It's the thought of knowing that this was created with more attention and care that today's China/India hustle brand, even luxury, are churning out.
On Nov. 1, Only Hearts will have a pop-up shop with design archives from the late 70’s, 80’s and early 90’s available to the public for the first time ever! The entire outpost is dedicated to the labels history, with unworn, limited-edition vintage lingerie and ready-to-wear
I will def be stopping by, its located in Nolita at 230 Mott St. B’twn Prince & Spring.

Black.Barbie
okay okay, maybe a tad inappropriate, I apologize...
Anywho, I am in total supprt of this. I dont agree that the Barbie should have braids or Afro Puffs. However, I do understand that "Historically, the Afrocentric features have not been celebrated...This makes us question the integrity of our beauty standard for ourselves." (Nia Long, Good Hair).
However, I dont think Barbie is where you start, I think its based on a child's home life. If a child is told they are beautiful they will believe it, because what Mommy and Daddy says is GOLDEN, especially at that age (4-9).

Nobel.he.said=Obama

Many have a lot to say. i have to admit at first i said: did i miss something in the news? what did he do? And then i remembered, alot of awardees tend to get the NPPrize for their vision. If you look at past recepients of the prize, you will see that it has been given to those with amazing visions in order to help enhance them into a reality. So I happily join the other side. And push for support and continue to HOPE for the change that Obama is trying to push forward.
and all because I love him and this dance w Ellen....
The.Berlin.Reunion

Earlier this week, 1.5 million people filled the streets of Berlin, Germany to watch a several-day performance by France's Royal de Luxe street theatre company titled "The Berlin Reunion". Part of the celebrations of the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Reunion show featured two massive marionettes, the Big Giant, a deep-sea diver, and his niece, the Little Giantess. The storyline of the performance has the two separated by a wall, thrown up by "land and sea monsters". The Big Giant has just returned from a long and difficult - but successful - expedition to destroy the wall, and now the two are walking the streets of Berlin, seeking each other after many years apart.
