So I got really excited while reading this article about the

July issue of Italian Voguue= A Black Barbie dedication supplement.

Also, this supplement appears to be well orchestrated publicity for Barbie's next line of black dolls, called the "So In Style" dolls. British Vogue reports that:

"[T]he So In Style dolls ... have been designed with more authentic-looking black features, including a new facial sculpt that has fuller lips, a wider nose, more distinctive cheek bones and curlier hair."

I am still going to run out and get the mag, but did NyMag really have to say this:

"We would rather have seen another all-black issue with actual people. But maybe it's harder to find sponsorship for that."
WOW! I think I read that line three times.
This just serves as a reminder that Progress is still needed in all avenues...#forthestruggle.

Remeber a couple of weeks ago, I said LaCroix may fold, if they dont find a buyer?

Well they found one-Bernard Krief Consulting-(a french management consulting firm that specializes in buying companies ebfore their downfall).

If the deal goes through, they plan to do a first with the company=make it profitable!

I would love to know how they have survived for so long without making any money! Maybe it's the "National Patrimony" of France, meaning they refuse to let one of their own die. But whatever case, I hope this deal works out.

So I was reading an article a couple weeks ago, it was on VSB.com about how Michael Eric Dyson and Cornel West are our leaders. But the best part about the article was the argument that these leaders have been chosen for us, by others. When did we start allowing the "majority" to choose our leaders? Especially because majority of the time Middle America (esp. Black) can't even begin to understand what the hell they're talking about, and that my friends is a major problem. Malcolm and Martin didn't do that, and they were by far, more of a movement and much greater leaders. So, why are our "leaders" so "articulate" and such "eloquent" speakers and we cant even comprehend we're they're "leading" us to? I have no idea but it's definitely an EPIC FAIL!
