High line elevated urban park

This elevated park in the sky built on the skeleton of an old rail system that was originally constructed to lift dangerous freight trains off of city streets. It was abandoned in the 80s and began to decay. A group of architects got together in the early 2000s and decided to rehabilitate the space and make it an elevated sanctuary for us city folk. I say good job! Thanks ‘Friends of the High Line’!

Also that hotel in the background is AmAZinG!!

It’s the Standard (designed by Andre’ Balazs). All of the rooms have floor-to ceiling glass windows that give the “best” perspective/delightful views of the city!

I stayed there a couple months back. Beyond sexy. And it ain’t trickin if u got it for a night in MeatPacking of mAyhEM!

Xoxo,
;-)
